Farmer Caleb

Jason has very fond memories of having a garden and watching things grow and now that we have a yard, he is determined to have a garden and let the boys watch things grow. So last weekend we went to Homestead Gardens, one of the fun nurseries in our area, and Jason picked out what he wanted to have in the garden.

Caleb got to help pick things out and then the two of them planted it. We did start a few things from seed...peppers, broccoli, corn and sunflowers, but for the most part, we got starter plants. So in our garden we have: Corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, squash, spaghetti squash, strawberries, pumpkins, cantaloupe and peppers!

The boys are loving the watering and watching grow process!

Look at my shovel and my new Diego watering can!!!

Let me fill the hole!

This is a pretty good job for him...he likes to play with the watering can!

Planting the "tomatoberry" We had never heard of this, but it looked like fun!!

  2. can't wait to see what you guys harvest!! I'd love to have a garden if I didn't think a certain furry 4 legged creature would eat all our profits!
